After the GLOVE final event, held in Torino in December 2014, the Galileo Integrated Optimization with VANET Enhancements (GLOVE) project has come to its formal end. The final review of the project took place at the Istituto Superiore Mario Boella the 25th of March. The reviewer of GLOVE, Dr. Veronica De Perini, and the European GNSS Agency - GSA confirmed that the project successfully reached its goals.
GLOVE is a European project, led by Multi-Layer Wireless Solutions Research Area of ISMB, which has explored novel architectures and services for the integration between Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), especially the European Galileo System, and vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs).
The project involves two ISMB’s Research Areas: Multi-Layer Wireless Solutions, which is responsible for synchronous networks, and Navigation Technologies (the ISMB branch of NavSAS), which developed the concept of Local Integrity. The Consortium includes also Centro Ricerche Fiat, DLR, Galatasaray University, Infotech, and CBK.
