NavSAS at ITS World Congress 2015

NAvSAS participated in the 22nd edition of the ITS World Congress, that was held in Bordeaux (France) from 5 to 9 October as partner of Jupiter, a two years project aiming to promote the European GNSS satellite navigation technology (EGNSS), in particular in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
The ITS Congress and Exhibition is the world’s largest event in intelligent transport systems and services. Through the main theme “Towards Intelligent Mobility – Better Use of Space”, the Bordeaux Congress focused on how achieving intelligent mobility will change our lives.

Navigation Technologies researchers Gianluca Marucco and Matteo Vannucchi, took part in the management of the European GNSS Village where they presented the demo of an GNSS antispoofing technique developed during the Jupiter project, that highlighted the potentialities of the authentication mechanism based on the inclusion of a digital signature within the Galileo navigation message carried on using the N-GENE 2 software receiver, fully developed by the Navigation Technologies Area in the last years.
Jupiter project plans to present relevant EGNSS applications able to highlight EGNSS added value and advantages at events of international importance as the 2015 ITS World Congress in Bordeaux or the 2016 ITS World Congress that will be held in Melbourne, Australia.
Gianluca Marucco, together with Riccardo Scopigno, head of Multi-Layer Wireless Solutions Research Area, took part to the session “Demonstration of European GNSS added value in ITS”, aiming at EGNSS awareness rising among the ITS community.
